The perfect surgeon
Off his side took his rib
And made her a real whole
Beside she must be
Not beneath, trampled underfoot
Neither above rule
Through her long voyage
She had trudged through thick and thin
Reached her place of worth
She goes through pains
Regular monthly visitor with painful gifts
Endures agony at birth
She’s harassed
Openly, by heartless beasts
For her womanhood
Sleeps last, first to rise
Obsessed with home-front chores
…Often she collapses
Yet for marital bliss
She’s the one who must submit
…dare not disobey
Today I proclaim
For being a woman
Honoured she must be
She is a woman
She deserves the best
Make her glow today
For being a woman
Make her feel she is the best
Flowers aren’t enough!
Take her off the chores
Pop up some Champagne
Praise her for being a woman
