This is what I think
Can somebody tell me what I don’t know
Because I feel new things now beginning
New thoughts now arising
New feelings now the ease of life
I thought truth could pave way to the top
But was told it makes one a flop
Now I know little I don’t know
I block my ears for I don’t want to hear what they say
Because I want to hear myself speak –
I thought they said money quiets the nerves
But I was told money makes the world go round
I thought riches was how you acquire it
But was told it is how you spend it
I say this because I hate money
But it’s the lack of money I hate most
Can you now share the irony of what I don’t know?
I chose brain as the way
But a girl chooses beauty than brains
Because she knows a man sees better than he thinks
Now I know little I don’t know
And now I will go to the school of modern life
Because what goes on has shifted away from what was
I’ve realized time is a storm in which we are all lost
Somebody bring me out
Tell me what I don’t know
Tell me please –
This is what I think
Can somebody tell me what I don’t know
Because I feel new things now beginning
New thoughts now arising
New feelings now the ease of life
