We are in trouble!
The times are hard on us.
We are like the woman
Groaning in labor pains
But, this birth, we can’t give
And these labor pains
We can‘t bear again!
Every day we groan in pain,
Haven twisted the truth
So much for our gain;
This is the gain: we reap pains!
Until we untwist this truth, –
To love our neighbors as ourselves –
We shall keep toil on
In pains like Cain
…till His Kingdom comes again!
