Read Time:38 Second
Who’s next?
Whose turn will it not be?
We all wait in the line.
Soon. Just very soon,
Heads will shake and bow in acknowledgement
That every mortal is but a fleeting breath!
Soon, just very soon
Lamentations will caress the heart with pains
And wrap the weary souls with shawls of sorrow
Soon, just very soon
Wails will burst and tear the voice box to shred
Scattering the NEWS in loud whispers
Soon, just very soon
Spades and hoes
Will hew the bed-stead of earth
A testament to the departed.
Whose turn will it not be?
We all wait in the line.
