Go to; let us build us a tower,
Bring the mortar and I’ll get the hammer,
Brick after brick let us invade their heaven,
Make the dough and I’ll sprinkle the leaven.
Go to; let us come to haggle
At Babel’s majestic mystic temple
Let’s dance to the solemn cryptic beats
As we offer our sacrifices at her feet.
Go to; let us make us an oath
All that is peaceful we must loathe
Let us faithful martyrs be
Killing dreams with frightful glee.
Go to; let us seek us a source
To sneer at Babel’s ancient curse
Get the moneybags and bring them in
And the cabals we must glean.
Go to; let us do as we please
Until fear haunts them like fleas
Let’s have any Moses for a barbecue
Who dares to come for their rescue?
Go to; who hath an ear?
All I see are blank stares
Thus Babel’s ancient spell,
This evil shall quell.
