The smiling sun
Tells my rose to bloom
With the promise
Of a bright day
The smiling moon
Tells my rose to bloom
With the promise
Of bright stars and cool night
The sun is bright
Brighter than the moon
Brighter than the stars
For brightness
Is what my rose desires
My rose opens it petals
To the smiling sun
With a bright smile
The sun consumes my rose
The petals dry
The scent fades
The sun takes them along
As it goes down the horizon
With sadness my rose dies
Leaving behind it thorns
For the one
Who comes along
My rose saw the brightness
Of the smiling sun
But did not see the scowl
That laced the bright smile.
