We are in grave danger
Of losing our future to political interlopers
Let’s find a lasting solution
To the drum of trauma
We own a larger part of crude oil
Yet we lack it’s feasibility
Our young men turn into history
In the hands of the looters
Their river of destruction has overflowed its banks
They kill to satisfy their desires
Water is abundant in our domain
And yet we thirst
The land where graduates sell bean cakes
The land where bombs are like stones
Where days begin with terror
And nights with sorrow
Where wretchedness is worn as cloth
Where pain become sandals
Where dreams are taken away with false promises
And futures sent away into exile
Oh, Earth! You see them all
You are always feeding but never full
Eat their flesh and crunch their bones
Transform yourself to the taste of us all
Thier eggs will soon hatch
Their birds will soon fly
Their dungeons will soon be exposed
And their end be told
Let’s rise and shine
In the hands of the unwanted maggots
Let’s dive into the river of success
And emerge clean, in hope and freedom
