THE MASSES’ PLEA

I keep wondering
Whenever I look around me
Is guilt is heavy on their mind?

The rich have cornered the sweetest part
Deceiving us with their holy lies
Putting the masses in a place of hardship
Where they cannot afford smiles!

I keep on asking
For the wind of change
Because the joy of the poor is crippled

Negative thoughts betides the masses soul
Disconcerted by happenings around
Abashed ashamed of their gullible lives
Their hearts hum, yielding with tears

Death now peeps through our souls!
We are tired of weeping
This is our plea; a new revolution!
