When the first rains shall come
Tumbling down from the leaden skies
I shall dance under the downpour
As a sign of my heartfelt welcome
I imagine how the moment will be
Nose breathing in the freshness
Goosebumps dancing on soothed skin
Silvery rivulets, sluicing down
Vestments clinging oh-so-lovingly
Rain-soaked weight tugging this way and that
My feet tapping a beat on sodden earth
Formless army falling soft
In pursuit of the Heat and Drought
The world becomes splash of vivid hues
I’ll look up at the heavens
Eyes fighting a losing battle with the blinding fall
And I’ll blow a kiss up to God
For the delight of rain upon thirsty earth

This is absolutely beautiful. It actually makes me welcome the rain, and that’s saying something. Thank you so much!
Thank you Sir Luke…
