Read Time:49 Second
It changes like a chameleon
Flowing forth and back like the tides
So bright, sunny and in ecstasy
Yet dark, dull, in the gloom
In the passage of time
Came dawn, noon and dusk
Where they laughed, bewildered
But also smile in the tears
While they wail, jubilant
Cos they lose and gain in days
Basking before the casket
Then walk down the aisle
They celebrate but commemorate
As their hearts glow, today with joy
Tomorrow it comes heavy with pain
Why would there be sorrow in our hearts
But a smile on our faces?
The countenance changing in hue
Like the expanse
Like the tidal waves
Like the setting sun
Like the chameleon
The countenance
