I couldn’t just act right,
Even when judged by my conscience
As haven gone astray!
Yet, He didn’t chastise me.
Lord, I say thank you.
My lips can open
But I couldn’t use it
For its designed purpose;
‘Praise Him’.
But He didn’t seal them.
Lord, I say thank you .
My frame in perfect health,
I desired only
To dwell in immorality.
Yet, He has not caused them
To be paralyzed.
Lord, I say thank you.
I have listened to sermons
Admonishing me of His ways,
Only to turn deaf ears.
Yet, He loves me
And my ears, He didn’t make deaf.
Lord, I say thank you.
Within me, I know
This is Sin,
That which He detests,
But I still dwell in them!
Still my life He saves.
Lord, I say thank you.
When I was in conditions of death,
That others couldn’t overcome,
I prevailed over them
For He wouldn’t let them consume me,
Even when I was undeserving!
Lord, I say thank you.
