THE TAILOR

Read Time:37 Second

You’ve stitched tears on our faces
And has made us to tread
On the walkway of anguish

You have weaved sadness on our hearts
After stitching optimism of empty promises
On our unclad mind

You have clothed us
With black attire of poverty
As you murder prosperity away

The homes fought for by our ancestors
Have now been dismantled
As you knit threads of new roads on them

The Lands inherited by our forefathers
Have now been decorated
For birds and beasts to tarry

But never forget that
When death pats your back to sleep
Your body shall be covered by the soil

So, will posterity see your name
Knitted on the sands of time
For great fashion or poor patches?
