Closing my sunken eyes
tears gracefully crawl down my face.
My body is broken
my mind completely lost,
A lesson with a price
myself an expensive cost.
I was only a child.
He stole my innocence
and took what I wanted not to give.
Now it hurts to breathe.
It’s a struggle to find a reason to live.
He was too strong and heavy.
I couldn’t get him off top.
With his hand over my mouth
As I tried screaming ‘Stop!’
I feel hopeless and I hide behind my smile.
I don’t even know anymore how to be a child.
I grew up fast because I had to do things
I didn’t understand at the time.
I had to be a woman when I was not.
His eyes just watched me
As I fought hard and cried.
He crushed my soul over and over
As he thrusted deeper inside.
I have no bruises, I have no scars
But taking my virginity
Was like taking my heart.
Breaking my hymen
Was breaking my heart.
