STEALTH

Read Time:1 Minute, 1 Second

Things falling apart
How can the centre hold?
When the glue at the centre is a tool that puts asunder.
Like a pack of card we crumble
Like the walls of Jericho we collapse
Falling off the wall like Humpty Dumpty
All the king’s men and all the king’s horses can never put us together again.

Crumbled cookies
Broken dreams
Stolen ideas, wretched tomorrow.
Nothing remains that binds us,
Becoming alien to our realities
And all the sorcerers and all the astrologers cannot see a future save one so gloom.

Rumbled towers
Dangling spirits
Distorted visions, doomed revelations
No hope remains to cheer us.
As bombs tear us apart
as terrors rip apart our very core
And we begin to wonder
united do we still stand or divided the better for us all?

Raging wars
Mounting casualties
Guerrilla tactics in our cities
Stealth attacks taking us off guard
Doomed if we do, damned if we don’t
We are at war, and the enemy lies within.

Architect of our own downfall
Harbingers of our doom
Creators of our destruction
An inevitable collapse waits.
But when the dust settles, when the deed is done
Will the city on the hill still remain?
