SOMETIMES

Sometimes
www.facebook.com/WRRPoetry [Sometimes]
Sometimes, I have to stay and wonder about life
How we travel without knowing
How we struggle but still succumb to fate blowing

Sometimes, I have to listen and wish to understand
The music and language in my head
How inspiration germinates
And forms something we generally appreciate

Sometimes, I have to keep cool in order to understand
The brutality of loneliness; of being left alone
How abandonment hurts
And lost memories bring wounds of all sorts

Sometimes, I have to stay still
In order to weigh between my right and wrong
That of my tender heart and my unforgiving heart that never heal
The reason why merriment fades and grudges camp so long

Sometimes, I have to smile
Because I needed more smiles to come my way
If ‘the give and hope to receive’ law is true or a lie
And not knowing the answer, I still do it today

Sometimes, I wish wishes were my only prayer
And God will endeavour to answer them all
The one of having peaceful mind in particular
And I would never bother if He adds more

Sometimes, I am a man and sometimes, I’m not
Sometimes, I have a heart, sometimes I breathe with my thought
Sometimes, it is the space that I occupied
Sometimes, it’s my soul the world tends to buy
