The pearl has fallen; the glory is shattered
Destiny ended; rolled over like a scroll and it never mattered
I felt the plunge before seeing the blood; I rise bruised and battered
Alas! What do I tell my mother?
That for my virginity I never catered?

The prized egg cracked; great dreams and future scattered
How could I have been so deceived?
With his soothing words and flattering tongue; I felt buttered
Like a foolish blind mouse; I was cornered

I loved him and that was my epic downfall
His deceptive smile broke through my brazen wall
I staggered steadily into his room; the lion’s den
Ignoring the Holy Spirit’s alarms and bugle call
He had his way with me while I looked on; an hypnotized doll

The blood is shed and my dreams shed with it
My soul is filthy and in sins trap so I am caught
When my tears desert me in betrayal,
Do I begin my future in the glory which is past?
