Sallah ram
Is not haram!
My teeth is waiting
My belly anticipating
Say your prayers
(Loud or in whispers)
Bless Allah, hail his name
And His Prophet of great fame
Now, bring forth the bleating ram
Hold it tight, for it may want to scram
Test the edges of the knife. Is it keen?
Slide the glistening blade on skin
And let the blood flow to earth
Light a fire in your hearth
And spread rare spices
On the bloody slices
Ah! My belly is rumbling
My tongue is drooling
There is no haram
In a Sallah ram!
