You ran without prior notice,
fled from that which brought you joy.
You ran with no remorse to hinder
and became bare to assault like Troy.
All visions assembled I, as a pack of cards.
In turn each I perused till eyes wore out.
Haven done this twice I came clean
and questioned why you chose the exit route.
Then to your world I beamed flashlight
to know if hostility there you faced;
still no snag did my rays find,
for one and all your message embraced.
Persistent, I sought you to conclude research
and together dined for tet-a-tete.
Tears trickled as the truth I learnt,
for without cause there was a death.
A death that built a gulf betwixt us.
You the knife that struck to bring apart
mother and child; with lips parted from breast
what then can you possibly exert?
Why throw in the towel this crucial time
when the world is still a child?
Certainly, life you would not have lived
if to you the full nipple was denied.
Purpose neglected is purpose defeated.
Tell no life that you have achieved
till you return, dear prodigal son,
back to the cause you once believed.
