Some of my friends have left me
But the world of poetry has not left me!
Even the god of justice has left me
But the garden of poetry has not left me!
My dog is not hearkening to my words
And I have lost so many worthy roads!
Few are ordering me like they’re my Lords
It is only poetry which obeys my words!
The thorns which pierce me are more
The flowers which I touch are less!
Even my footwear often hurts me
Then, it is only poetry which heals me!
My poetry knows the tears I shed.
My words flow like an ocean flood!
Water may be thinner than our blood
Water may be thicker than my blood!
Yesterday was not within my hands
Tomorrow may not be in my hands
Today pen and papers are in my hands
And it is poetry which my life sports!
Let my words have strength in them!
Let all my thoughts have worth in them!
Let my breath have the poetry in it!
Let my death have the meaning in it!
