If I have to spend my time,
I’ll stay away from crime,
To catch a perfect rhyme
Using poetic words I refined,
In each verse, they are confined
With my intention well defined
And no verbiage assigned
I give a piece of my mind
And pass wisdom to man kind
If a rhyme could hide in jail
I’ll pay for the bail
If it runs through a vale
I’ll follow the trail
If it shrinks into a quail
I’ll turn into a gale
If it stretches into a whale
I’ll catch it by the tail
And haul while I sail
If I catch perfect rhymes on cloud nine
I’ll put each in a line
If the lines could reflect all I opine
And the poetic sound is still divine
I’ll sail away from whine
To wine and dine
For my poem has a design
And radiates like sunshine
What will you give for a rhyme?
A wave for shunning crime
A shake for my time
A hug for the verses that sound so sublime
And a medal for the message I convey without a dime.
