ORI

When the lively goes sour
When the mighty turn weak
When the drum-beat becomes soundless
Orí, lead me not astray

Jumping from tree to tree
Climbing the highest peak to pick
Soaring in the sky with a smile
Ehi, may I not totter

Happiness filled my house
Joy visit my room
Stand out among others
Chi, my heart is with you

Prosperity is all I want
The seat of intellect which I dream
Control the full personality of man
Eleda, do not eat with the evil Man

Beauty is ephemeral
But it is Orí that abides with one
When it is rough and no one to call
Agwu, see me through the dark
