One Day I Will Write a Poem About My Depression

When shadows consume and joy is an evasion.

Lost dreams linger, fading away,
As life veers off course, leading astray.

One day I will write a poem about my despair,
Fighting for purpose, gasping for air.

A constant battle waged deep within,
Yearning for solace, a chance to begin.

One day I will write a poem about the tears,
That stain my face throughout the years.

Unseen struggles etched upon my soul,
Every step taken toward being whole.

One day I will write of the silent fights,
Longing to escape the darkest nights.

Forcing smiles to mask inner pain,
Hoping desperately it won’t be in vain.

One day I will write about finding light,
Breaking free from depression’s tight plight.

In every word penned, hope shall reside,
Revealing a journey where darkness subsides.
