ON BENDED KNEES by Stanley Egeonu

Read Time:49 Second

When your strength is exhausted
And your spirit is strapped of vigour…

When you can no longer stand the ‘shaking’
And the horrors of life cause you to suffer bruxism…

When your nose is put out of joint
By the fists of fury and judgment…

When you can no longer stand to fight
And defend the cause you vowed to stand for…

When the hope of your existence is cut off
And the scent of water no longer fills the air…

When you can’t see the light of day
And your sight seems impoverished…

When you no longer receive the affirmations of greatness
And the gestures of love is withdrawn from you…

When the language of peace is coarse
And your covenant of safety is violated…

Go On Bended Knees And Pray!
