Read Time:41 Second
As the day draws to an end,
The signs of rain become visible;
Tonight, the worst is inevitable!
The holes I count above are numerous,
So much I know not which one to close.
Then it came, heavy, with thunderous claps
So loud I could never doze off.
For long, my only inheritance, a dog and a mat
Have saved my skin; a resistance,
From troubles that can make one mad.
Tonight will be a long one;
my mat floats, my bone shakes, my spirit breaks,
My tears become one with the rains
And my wailing merges with the rhythm of the night.
All I wait for is a morning of light!
