Each meter of your verses strikes me
Cracking my heart like a wall
…
I feel lost when I can’t wield my pen;
My heart traces each footprint of words
Every time my sojourn brings me here
I live where Life is neither friend nor foe;
On my rubble the rain comes and beats me
Then the Sun passes and burns me
Fragile thoughts sparse my dusty mind
As time ticks on – seconds, minutes and hours –
My head always south and west of the sun
My head is burdened, I bear heavy duties
My thoughts dribble through – like fine sand –
In the yellow wood, searching for survival
…
I am at home here where one language is spoken
The language of meters, verses and stanzas.

Oh that is so very, very good! Such an amazing tribute to writing and the poetic form..it has an ageless quality to it, and something so deep it is hard to reflect back in a comment, but all I can say is Bravo! Bravo!! 🙂
Thank you very much Helen
