I am in the bookshop again
Every title jostles for my gaze
And my heart itches for each
Ah but these hands are tied
By a purse pitifully penniless
And a conscience clad in scruples
So I am left, appeased
Only by a glimpse into a tomorrow
That promises plenty for my penury
