Read Time:45 Second
If I could fly
To the beginning of my dream
Before I began from nothing
And became me, born a sinner
If I could fly
To the place music was born
Before the noise that murdered my dream
Where angels compose lullabies for sleeping men
If I could fly
To the place before time began
Where divine chefs cooked meals eternal
For heroes yet unborn
If I could fly
To the wordless land of the muse
Where rhyme, rhythm and dance
Spoke in syllabic harmony
If I could fly
To the birthplace of joys
With comedy, music and lore
Shall I tragedy’s gripping vice dethrone
If I could fly
But alas! Silence’s mocking mask
Binds me, in mortal’s loneliness isle
And my wingless hopes look askance
