The battle was heavy
I lost track of my senses
Deep thoughts: the way unknown
Shame alone is sown

My pride grew tall
My bones responded in anger
Like a thousand roars
I lost my rank

It was so attractive, I yearned to taste
The irresistible temptation of the crown
The urge, the lust, the pride
To rule…but now I only cry

I use to be a soldier, loved and respected.
Mightiest of the best, but greed wrought my fall
My wings changed, I was banished to the dark
Never to be seen again, out of joy forever!
