HULLABALOO! HULLABALOO! : by Aremu Adams Adebisi

Read Time:57 Second

The glaring dirts of the surroundings,
Flung opened by the merciless litterings,
Resulting into a chaosy flood;
Ruining heres and ruining theres.
It’s disheartening to see, oh citizens,
The unhealthiness of our environment.
Vote for me, concerned citizens.
Be a part of new settlement’.
Hullabaloo! Hullabaloo!

‘The growth of any given nation,
It’s in its ability to impart knowledge,
Wisdom, action and understanding
For its citizens and by its citizens.
It’s disheartening to see, oh citizens,
The backwardness of your education.
Vote for me, concerned citizens.
Be a part of civilisation’.
Hullabaloo! Hullabaloo!

‘Many your properties are threatened:
Killings, bombings dance with you;
Disturbing your peaceful sleep.
Errors today, terrors tomorrow.
It’s disheartening to see, oh citizens,
The dreadful state of insecurity.
Vote for me, concerned citizens.
Be a part of serenity.’
Hullabaloo! Hullabaloo!

Citizens besotted by his promises,
Regretted the papers they thumbed
And the votes that enthroned his tenure
For ‘demo’ and its ‘cracy-ness’.
It’s disheartening to say, oh leader.
Your legacies are as fruitless as
A barren woman with no hope,
Yet promiscuous with promising razz.
‘You failed us and we want you out.’
Hullabaloo! Hullabaloo!
