With our backs against the wall
We stand to take the fall
As we fight for our survival
We betray one another in process
Armed with qualms and swords
Battles with alarms and words
It’s no time to rest or trust
But how do you fight one of your own?
Life is unfair
Love them all, trust no-one
Living with hyenas stripping fake smiles
Same enemies to lift or shadow you
People to confide, believe and rely on
But as they say
Sometimes it’s too good to be true
Bitter sweet, it’s a home-brewed.
