Read Time:41 Second
I stare into the distance;
my thoughts in disarray
those sad eyes
that firm set mouth
that chin that falls to rest against my neck.
That loneliness in the depth of my soul;
the tears in my heart
the tremble in my voice
the falter in my step.
No one seems to notice
they are fixated by my smile
they love the sound of my voice
they love the twinkle in my eyes
they want my social spirit
They just don’t see it!
If only they’d look closer,
if only, just a bit closer,
then they’ll see….
the sad twitch in my smile,
then they’ll hear….
the sudden choke in my voice.
