They wait; living in muted hope,
Walking on the trail of this fading world…
Ahead Time ticks, fast!
Driven senseless by its tide,
Having toiled and tilled the soil,
And ridged for glories, in vain…
Jericho’s walls have fallen on thatched soul,
Adorned with regrets and wrinkled hope;
But time mocks on with unconcerned ticking…
Above, the legion of stars smile in pity
To the dizzy moon,
And their faces shed bloody tears.
Down below them, man allows sorrowful regrets
To turn dreams of tomorrow into futility,
And the time of Life still ticks away…
