Some slept expecting to wake,
But mourning now follows their wake!
Even as some hearts tremble with pain,
Some seek to, laughter, constrain.
Yesterday came as the assignment
We attempted with excitement
And Today offers correction
And a chance to prove by action.
Do you cry over spilt milk?
Or make a gown from burnt silk?
Leave Yesterday in its place;
Today waits for an embrace.
Look not at things left behind,
It’ll only scratch you inside.
Today is the time to forge ahead,
For yesterday is long dead!
