Read Time:47 Second
I’m just but a beam unbalanced,
It’s not all weight I can carry high.
I can’t ignite every smile with joyous sigh
Though many anticipate well of each chance.
O, I can’t be a lackey in every state;
To some, I be fair, others I berate!
My powerless strength cannot carry all
To climax of grace or heights of goodness
Not permanent is my obsequiousness;
A flashy stud in sunrise, I may in murk be dull!
These attributes make me a man;
That I do wrong or right, as much as I can!
The wind blows now always on all panes
So I cannot grease all hearts found
My little smile proffered is all profound
We walk different path, I on my lane
If we meet, expect not my heart to match
The trail on which you march.
