EVIL MEN (for APO SIX) by Nnamdi Amasiatu

Read Time:1 Minute, 3 Second

Sometime, someday, a decade ago
The seat of my fatherland turned crimson
A voluntary graveyard set up with hate and spite
By some presumed men of valor

…so said some sane men
So as to free some evil men

Compelling and vomiting wickedness
They instilled sadness into our nation and the world
Thus, it marked the age of eyesore on Africa
And with great public outrcry, they were arrested

…so said some sane men
So as to free some evil men

Then it happened;
They were freed like birds
In the light of judicial privilege
They called BAIL!

…so said some sane men
So as to free some evil men

Oh bail, bail of infinite period
Bail of sickness, bail of care
Caring so much for careless souls
That caused so much pain to our caring souls

..so said some sane men
So as to free some evil men

Learning the ropes from Amaechi Candour’s Niche
I shudder on the cries of patriotic zeal
When the keep nailing our innocent citizens
While they are in their lunatic world
Siphoning our wealth to western world
Oh my Nigeria, my fatherland
When will thou come home?
