A DOZEN HAIKUS TO NATURE: Ayodeji A. Adeyemi

Read Time:52 Second

I
fleet a way the heat
soak, pant the roof so loud ly
mix with dry tears

II
sashay the thin trees
ruffle from root to green hair
chase, whirl in splendor

III
sizzling the raw meat
glow bright to the sense to smell
jumping from roof to wall

IV
flow flow flow to dusk
crystal waters so pure
oh! liquid di’monds

V
lush fields so dewy
graze by white does at dusk
meadow full at dawn

VI
spatter mud on us
dirt we need wash after you
welcome, we miss you

VII
roar roar roar to bow
swift, herald to us the
gathering dark clouds

VIII
at the scary pond
a hog swirl in dirty joy
a shameful sight, fine

IX
on the full petal
the beautiful butterfly
sip full the nectar

X
run along the field
little babies mother goose
love fit to model

XI
pictures in the cloud
painting, gods on Olympus
decor for the skies

XII
half-moon in the sky
a promise kept in bright colors
our peacock beauty
