They have mouth
Let them say whatever they like.
Freedom is theirs.
They say you’re darker than bitumen
And compare you to the under of their mother’s pot
But they’ve forgotten so soon the popular saying
“ Black is Beautiful. ”
Why worry yourself with what they say of your wears?
That they’re worn out and outdated.
Tell them it’s not the wears that matters
And that their latest today will be history tomorrow.
Why do you sob
Over what they’ve said about you?
For sure, their mouths will forever run like taps.
