Writing from the vicinity of
Aluu,
The beautiful taboo!
Here is the hometown of Kalu,
My good friend who resides in
Kano.
Aluu, the city
Popular
For its jungle tattoos,
In this city,
Atrocity happens on bright afternoons
And innocent blood
Is mistaken for cashews,
By vampires living with men!
Now I can’t eat my Apu,
Thinking of human beings,
Roasted,
Like the animal Yorubas call maluu!
If GOD should ask for my word,
I would say
He should banish you from these shores,
Seize all your shoes
And stop your pregnant
From delivering fruits!
