Life is like a journey on a bus
When you’re born the journey begins
The minute you’re out, you set on this course
Men, animal, all breathing things
Everyone boards at a station
Heading for a place
Towards a common destination
An abode, Man’s resting place
The conductor hollers when it’s your turn
Driver please wait let him drop
And when you pass it, he’ll make a u-turn
Then you will drop at your stop
All men are destined for this ride
So long you’re not Enoch or Elijah
You’ll get a bus and not a chariot ride
You’ll not ascend like you’re Messiah
Man, woman, one and all
Even beasts will alight at their stop
When you’re there you’ll hear the call
As death’s conductor shouts your drop
