Forgive me oh bread of the street
For I’d rebuked you in my day time
And waved back to you in disgusting mime
Now you save my life from deadly hunger
And I make you my choice in snappy anger
You’re delicious of your sweet taste
You make my belly pregnant with paste
A friend of butter, Samaritan to my hunger
Forgive me, oh well water of the street
For I’d rebuffed you in shallow pride that time
When your telltale particles seemed too toxic to take
Now, I sought sleep but thirst kept me awake
Until you quenched and hallowed my faith
You’re pure and worth drinking of your nature
You make my bread easy to swallow
You friend of nature, a must for all
Forgive me, oh beggar of the street
I’ve realized your choice is times the best
I make it my choice too, the only alternative
Forgive me oh street of the able, your choice is kind
