Luminous belle of recreation –
She lifted our darkness-haunted lives
Salvaged our Africa from dooming claws
Of invisible, retrogressive powers
Holy powers emanating from dark doldrums
Of course they love darkness more than her
Before the cock could end its crow
Her death comes, casting darkness
Upon the living eye of the earth
Come stay with us!
There is much milk, much oil
A new birth of a new road
Celebrated by familiar voices
Louder than the breath of the seas
By popular lips sweeter than honey
The death of him comes swiftly
As Saharan desert’s wind
Upon a chaff – a death trap
Leaves a hole in the heart of the earth
Come stay for eternity…
There is much coal, gold and…
Many births and many deaths
Of the body and the soul
Why is our big mother living and dying?
Why is our big mother reliving and redying?
