A twisted tale it is
As so many listens to hiss.
who knows when she’ll strike?
show love to all without showing a spike.
A mistake is not a death sentence
and a twisted tale is not an elegy.
I know they may agonize without ‘pence,’
but there’s help on the way like the prayer of a clergy.
they live a life full of shadow
If love stands aloof without care
their thoughts are dark like an endless hole
full of nothing but fear.
Derision stares them in the eyes
with shame as their garment of consolation.
I see help come down from the skies
As those living with twisted tale dance in celebration.
A twisted tale is not a death sentence
Joy abounds even without Peter’s Pence.
The twisted tale can be doused with a show of love from me
because the beauty of their energy begins with you and me.
