After driving me into this world
she stood by me day and night
While I slept, she watched me snore
a royal guard, watching her prince
For my sake, he deprived herself
of pleasure she should enjoy
Thro’ infancy and youth she endured
all the troubles I brought to her
Come rain or shine, she stood by me
Mother, how wonderful you are!
Sure, the wages of a good mother
only the Almighty can pay!
