A Father is a friend
Who understands our weaknesses and weariness
Yet promotes our strength and song
He sticks closer than a brother.
A Father is the Authority
Who lives by example
Demands discipline though it pains
He walks with us through the desert.
A Father is a Treasure of Truth
Though we wander away
He waits for us to return home.
A Father is our Energizer
Though the race of life drains us
Our Father succours and supports us.
A Father is our Restorer
We may stumble and sustain injury
Like the wounded soldier, we hurt within
Our Father will restore us again

This is very beautiful. You have captured the essence of the role of a “Father ” on many levels. Amazing poetry as usual.
