be united again?
Going down memory lane,
when things still went well
when we walk the nation’s corners
without fear.
Oh! Then, we prided in our natural resources,
our leaders were faithful,
our watch word was integrity,
we stood as a nation,
we were truly the ‘Giant of Africa’!
How beautiful things were;
we all had one voice.
each saw the others a brothers,
ate together,
with no grudge in mind.
Alas, that great nation
is now gradually torn apart!
Will we keep our fingers crossed
and watch it fall?
Arise O compatriots!
It’s a call for action:
Servants of Allah,
children of our father’s gods,
followers of Christ..
Let’s be united, we all preach peace,
Let’s rebuild this falling great nation!!!
