yesterday i smelt you on my fingers
as i tried to straighten my mustache
triggering memories of where they’ve been
the damp crevices traveled, in pairs
and the sounds they strummed
on your writhing guitar
it’s been long since your exeunt
but i still feel your presence here
your saltiness remains on my tongue
and your chattering still distracts me
from my laptop’s lewd poems
today i strummed again
another guitar made music for me
it writhed like a strangling python
but it was only you i smelt
