Words Rhymes & Rhythm Publisher’s Limited is pleased to announce Salihu Mahe, author of poetry chapbook How to View The World From a Glass Prism, as the winner of the 4th edition of the annual Green Author Prize (GAP 2019) for young unpublished Nigerian writers.
Mahe emerged GAP 2019 winner after his chapbook was selected as the best of the thirty-five (25) poetry and prose manuscripts submitted for (and in some cases published under) the Words Rhymes & Rhythm Publishers Chapbook Series 2019 (CBS 2019) from January to November 2019.
How to View The World From a Glass Prism was selected for its originality in style, language and form. Sponsor and head of the selection panel, Kukogho Iruesiri Samson described the chapbook thus:
“…refined poetry that inspires introspection through the excellent expression of thought and unique – albeit somewhat concealing – composition that announces Salihu as a poet to listen to.”
Kukogho Iruesiri Samson
As a testament to its quality, the chapbook has over 2000 downloads.
The print edition of the chapbook will be published by Words Rhymes & Rhythm Publishers in March 2020.
