The Eriata Oribhabor Poetry Prize (EOPP) 2022 shortlist is out.
Ten poems by Nwuguru C. Sullivan, Inimfon Inyang-Kpanantia, Ebuka Evans, Hussani Abdulrahim, Nnadi Samuel, Blessing Omeiza Ojo, Oluwafisayo Akinfolami, Olalekan Daniel Kehinde, Okoronkwo Chisom, and Wuguru Chidiebere Sullivan have made it to the TOP 10 shortlist of the EOPP 2022.
The shortlisted poems, eligible for the final round of judging, are as follows:

- SCHWA: IN A SOUND WHERE ALL CONSONANTS MEANS LOSS by Nnadi Samuel
- SOMNAMBULATION by Blessing Omeiza Ojo
- PALINDROME ZYX by Oluwafisayo Akinfolami
- HANDFUL OF WRECK by Olalekan Daniel Kehinde
- I CARRY MY COUNTRY LIKE A MEMENTO by Okoronkwo Chisom
- BLOOD-CASTLE by Wuguru Chidiebere Sullivan

We will announce the top 3 winners of EOPP 2022 on November 14th, 2022. The winning entry will receive a cash prize of ₦50,000, while the first and second runners-up will get a cash prize of ₦30,000 and ₦20,000, respectively. Furthermore, all the top 30 poems will be published in an e-anthology titled after the eventual winning poem. It will be available for free download.
