Out of the 30 remarkable pieces that made the longlist, the BPLP 2023 panel of judges have shortlisted the following 13 entries—eight poems and five short stories—for the prestigious Prize:

These distinguished entries are in the running for remarkable recognition, including a $300 cash prize, a chapbook publishing contract, and the opportunity to be featured in the 2023 BPLP anthology.
