Words Rhymes & Rhythm Publishers Ltd. is pleased to announce that the 3rd edition of the annual WRR Literary Festival – ‘FEAST OF WORDS’ will hold on the 16th of December 2017 in the ancient city of Ibadan.
For the third year running, Ibadan will host writers, performers, thinkers, artists, book lovers and lovers of literature for the one-day festival taking place at the Arts Theatre, Department of Theatre Arts, Faculty of Arts, University of Ibadan.
The FEAST OF WORDS is one of Nigeria’s most anticipated literary festivals, especially among the younger generation of writers.
Themed ‘WRITE TO RIGHT; RIGHT TO WRITE’, this year’s edition will feature stimulating discussions, award presentations, book unveiling, readings, poetry and an African Night of words, musical and drama performances and an abundance of palm wine and local delicacies.
Awards will be presented to about 100 recipients for the WRR-GREEN AUTHOR PRIZE (GAP) 2017; the BRIGITTE POIRSON POETRY CONTEST (BPPC) 2017; the ERIATA ORIBHABOR POETRY PRIZE (EOPP) 2017 and the ALBERT JUNGERS POETRY PRIZE (AJPP) 2017 and the Words Rhymes & Rhythm NIGERIA TEACHERS AWARD (WRR-NTA) 2017.
The Brigitte Poirson Poetry Contest (BPPC) 2017 anthology, entitled ‘THE TRAIN STOPS AT SUNSET’, will be unveiled at the Festival and distributed free to all attendees, as has been the tradition in the past editions.
The African Night will feature spoken word performances by the best performance poets in Nigeria, live, a play by the University of Ibadan Theatre Arts Students, and an after party.

The FEAST OF WORDS is one of the many ways through which Words Rhymes & Rhythm Publishers Ltd. promote Nigerian writing and support the development of young Nigerian writers.
